🏠 Matmata — The Berber troglodyte villages

Discover the famous dwellings carved into the rock, the traditional homes of the southern Berbers for millennia. These underground houses offer a total change of scenery and a unique glimpse into Berber history. Matmata is also known as a Star Wars filming location — Luke Skywalker's home was shot here!

🏕️ Ksar Ghilane — The oasis at the gateway to the Sahara

Arrival at Ksar Ghilane, an isolated oasis on the edge of the Grand Erg Oriental. Surrounded by sand dunes as far as the eye can see, this oasis is home to a natural hot spring where you can bathe — a unique experience at the heart of the desert. The landscape of palm trees and golden dunes is breathtakingly beautiful.

🌄 Return to Djerba

Drive back towards Djerba with lunch included along the way.
